Important Update
The Theme of the Final Night
Tonight's theme was a filter. Students reflected on the "filters" in their lives and how they help prevent things that "invade" their "niche." Tonight tied together these three themes discussed throughout the week.
Time for Action!
Doing an Action for the Environment!
Students completed various activities this afternoon- some groups cleaned the camp grounds, helped recycle, or planted trees!
The Rain Clears!
The rain stopped right after lunch- perfect timing!! Some students were able to get on the ropes course!
A rainy morning....
Just as morning lessons started severe weather was moving toward us and all the students had to stay indoors for about an hour. Then students headed to the dining hall and it continued to rain during lunch.
Breakfast Day 3
Breakfast! The last picture shows how the students have to clean their tables- they stack all the plates and separate trash, compost, and recycled materials!
Todays Theme
Today students learned about degraded conditions and invasive species. Again, they applied what they learned in the environment to their everyday lives. Ask your kids about it! Students - post a comment and share what you learned when you return from camp!
More games...
After Dinner, adults played the same game as the kids did after lunch. Mr. Rich and Mrs. Tanner were our volunteers. Mrs. Tanner won this competition because she had the most "swag"!
Table Competition
The table pictured on top, lead by Mr. Rich won two times in a row for the neatest table! Mr. Rowe's table, pictured second, came really close to winning! This was friendly competition as the two tables shared a cabin and traveled through activity time together!
